R.E.M. Ready Dublin Working Rehearsals

R.E.M. are looking to release a live album compiling working rehearsals recorded in Ireland during their 2007 stint at the Olympia in Dublin. The set will reportedly include something "very special." The group hope to begin work on a new album in the coming months. [remhq.com]

Enter The Vaselines

Sub Pop will release Enter The Vaselines, an expanded, double-disc edition of 1992's The Way of The Vaselines, on May 5th. The set includes the two EPs, Son of a Gun and Dying for It, and the lone full-length, Dum-Dum. In addition, it includes "new mixes and re-mastered versions of everything by The Vaselines, plus never-before-heard demos, and live recordings from 1986 in Bristol and 1988 in London." Hot Hot Heat Return this Summer

Steve Bays recently revealed to Spinner that Hot Hot Heat are tentatively looking to release a new album this summer. Bays and drummer Paul Hawley originally set out to create a side project, but decided the material sounded like Hot Hot Heat. Bays described the new record as a "crazy, spazzy party album."
