Dark Was The Night is a 32-track compilation featuring a Who's Who in the indie music world, including Arcade Fire, Feist, Bon Iver and Grizzly Bear, among others. The album was produced by members of The National and the Red Hot Organization, which funds and awareness for HIV and AIDS. The comp is set to be released on February 17th through 4AD. Glasvegas Kickoff Massive Tour

On January 5th, Glasvegas kicked off their US tour with an NYC gig and a Letterman appearance. The band will essentially be all over the world until mid-April. All this hoopla is in support of their self-titled debut, which was released on January 6th in the US. [www.myspace.com]

Band Of Horses Continue Work on New Album

The Carolinas' own Band of Horses has made plans to visit Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, NC in the near future to continue work on the follow-up to 2007's Cease To Begin. The band hit the studio in October last year in Alabama. [stereogum.com]

My Morning Jacket Live from Las Vegas EP

My Morning Jacket released a six-track digital EP to iTunes today, recorded at the Palms in Las Vegas. Officially titled Live at the Palms the band was hoping for "Ryan Pickett Presents, in Association with Pickettmax Films: Candles and Panties '08-the iTunes EP- LIVE in Las Vegas!
