Ben Harper has formed a new group, Relentless7, with musicians from Austin, TX (who originally appeared on Both Sides of the Gun). The band is currently out on a club tour and will issue their debut, White Lies For Dark Times, in May 2009. [www.rollingstone.com]

Ebu Gogo have posted several videos on their MySpace blog captured from a live show back in August. The trio perform songs from their Integers Only debut Chase Scenes 1-14 and their largely slept-on sophomore album, Worlds.

Cory Branan Flophouse Session

Cory Branan stopped by The Flophouse in late November and recorded a session. The podcast is currently streaming on the Band In Boston website. Included in the set are presumably a few songs from Branan's anticipated follow-up to 2006's 12 Songs.

Tori Amos Signs to Universal

Following her departure from Epic, Tori Amos has inked a deal with Universal Republic. Amos is planning a new album for spring/summer 2009. Each album track will be accompanied by a "visualette," which will be shot in HD and Super 8. [www.toriamos.com]

Oasis Could Be Planning Solo Records

Noel Gallagher of Oasis recently told BBC Radio 1's Colin Murray that after the band's current tour he'd like "everyone to do something separately." It's not set it stone, but that could mean 1-4 solo albums from the Oasis crew. [news.bbc.co.uk]

UNKLE will drop End Titles... Redux on December 15th. The release will package seven re-interpreted End Titles... Stories For Film tracks and add two new songs. According the band, the new release enhances the ambient and orchestral aspects of the record. [angryape.com]

Rosie Thomas Working with Sam Beam

Sam Beam of Iron & Wine will produce the next album from Detroit's Rosie Thomas. Speaking with Billboard, Thomas revealed she intends "to move the rhythm up" and that Beam wants her to write the "Motown record [she's] always wanted to write." [www.billboard.com]
