Saddle Creek will release the seventh album from Cursive, I Am Gemini, on February 21st. As reported, the band worked with producer Matt Bayles. Thematically, the album "is the surreal and powerful musical tale of Cassius and Pollock, twin brothers separated at birth". Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan was recently interviewed on WFMU's Diane's Kamikaze Fun Machine. He talked about the aforementioned supergroup he formed with members of Mastodon, The Mars Volta and Jane's Addiction. The group is called Giraffe Tongue Orchestra. As well, drummer Thomas Pridgen has been replaced by Jon Theodore. Weinman stated they have "half a record done". [wfmu.org]
