Olafur Arnalds will release his sophomore album, ...and they have escaped the weight of darkness, in North America on June 8th through Erased Tapes. Arnalds will perform his new album with the RNCM Symphony Orchestra on July 1st, 2010 in Manchester, UK. The orchestra will also perform "Popcorn Superhet Receiver" by Jonny Greenwood that night. MG&V Ready Debut Album

MG&V is a new group featuring John McCauley of Deer Tick, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes and Matt Vasquez of Delta Spirit. Foals Prep Total Life Forever for May

Mondo Cane Album Due in May

Mike Patton (Faith No More, Tomahawk) will release an album from his "Italian language rock-meets-orchestra hybrid," Mondo Cane, on May 4th via Ipecac Recordings. Patton recorded the album during Europe live performances and worked with a 30-piece orchestra and choir. [www.ipecac.com]
