Congratulations, the hotly anticipated new album from MGMT, will be released in the US on April 13th. The band has also been confirmed to appear at the 2010 Coachella and Bamboozle festivals. [www.spin.com]

Founder El-P is "stepping away from [his] duties as artistic director" to focus on producing and his own music. Citizen Cope will release The Rainwater LP on March 2nd (digitally on February 9th) through his own RainWater Recordings, Inc. label. The self-produced album features "a laidback gumbo of acoustic blues, singer/songwriter rock 'n' roll and deep soul grooves." On March 9th, Gonjasufi will debut A Sufi & A Killer via Warp Records. The New Pornographers will release their fifth full-length, Together, on May 4th through Matador Records. According to the label, "the album is comprised of 9 A.C. Newman songs and 3 Dan Bejar numbers, and features the full eight-person lineup." Annie Clark of St. Vincent, Zach Condon of Beirut and Will Sheff of Okkervil River guest on the album. As reported, The Dillinger Escape Plan will drop Option Paralysis on March 23rd. The band has now announced tour dates from February through August in support of the release. According to Gorilla vs. Bear, the new Panda Bear album single will be titled Tomboy and is tentatively set for release in September via Paw Tracks (confirmed with Lennox' publicist). The single is the first track from a new album of the same name.
