Future Of The Left Writing New Album, Leaves Too Pure

Future of the Left have parted ways with Too Pure/4AD. Despite the news, Andy Falkous told NME the band are currently writing the follow-up to Travels With Myself And Another. Falkous hopes to "channel the spirit of Freddie Mercury... through Slayer's backline" for the new material. [www.nme.com]

Islands and Man Man Doom-Wop Side Project

Nick Thorburn of Islands and Ryan Kattner (Honus Honus) of Man Man have started a "doom-wop" side project, according to Spinner. The duo are only two or three songs into the as of yet untitled project, but will probably "release all the tracks on the Internet" instead of through official channels. [www.spinner.com]

Dillinger Escape Plan Option Paralysis Track List, Single

The Dillinger Escape Plan have revealed the full track list for Option Paralysis (check it out over on The PRP). Said album will drop March 23rd through Party Smasher Inc. and Season of Mist. The first single, "Farewell, Mona Lisa," is due digitally January 19th (but you can probably catch it on Hype Machine now). Nada Surf Announces Covers Album, Tour

Nada Surf will release a covers album, if i had a hi-fi, later this year. The record includes renditions of songs from Kate Bush, Dwight Twilley and the Go-Betweens. Fans can pick up the album early on the band's spring tour in March and April, which will kickoff with three "album shows," featuring the entirety of Let Go, The Weight Is A Gift, and Lucky respectively.
