Sigur Ros frontman Jonsi will release his debut, solo album, Go, on March 23rd, 2010 April 6th, 2010 via XL Recordings. What started out to be a "low-key, acoustic album" instead turned into "sheer aural fireworks." The album features collaborations with avant-garde composer Nico Muhly and production by Alex Somers and Peter Katis (The National, Interpol). The Word have announced a handful of reunion shows at the turn of the year. The band, consisting of Robert Randolph, John Medeski and members of North Mississippi Allstars, will play Philadelphia, PA on December 30th, New York City on News Year's Eve and Ft. Parlophone will release the Blur documentary No Distance Left to Run to UK cinemas on January 19th, 2010. The film was compiled from footage shot during 2009's rehearsals and summer touring as well as "recounts Blur's highs and lows." The film will see a worldwide and DVD release following the UK stint.
