Jerry Fuchs, a drummer who has performed with !!!, The Juan MacLean, LCD Soundsystem and Maserati, died Sunday after a fall down an elevator shaft at a benefit event in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Fuchs passed away at Bellevue Hospital around 3:30 am. [www.nypost.com]

San Diego's Tristeza will release Fate Unfolds on December 1st through Better Looking Records. The record ranges "from Afro funk and jazz, Spanish flamenco, tropicalia, Indian raga, to krautrock, and psyche to punk." In December, the group will tour the West Coast in support of the effort.
