James Murphy will be featured in two upcoming films. The first, SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS, was shot at the final LCD Soundsystem show at Madison Square Garden in April. The film reportedly follows Murphy "over a crucial 48-hour period, from the day of their final gig ... to the morning after." The second film is Tim & Eric's The Comedy. As reported, Spiritualized will release Sweet Heart Sweet Light in March on Fat Possum. The album was recorded over the past two years in "Wales, Los Angeles, and Reykjavik". The new "savior of blues" and Eric Clapton pal, Gary Clark Jr., has scheduled some December tour dates, including a stop at World Cafe and Letterman on December 16th. North Carolina's Bowerbirds will release a third album, The Clearing, on March 6th through Dead Oceans. We previoulsy mentioned that Damon Albarn recently took a group of producers to the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to record an album for Oxfam in seven days. The group's codename is DRC Music and Warp Records will release the album, Kinshasa One Two, on October 3rd. All profits go towards Oxfam's work in the DRC and DRC musicians.
