James Murphy will be featured in two upcoming films. The first, SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS, was shot at the final LCD Soundsystem show at Madison Square Garden in April. The film reportedly follows Murphy "over a crucial 48-hour period, from the day of their final gig ... to the morning after." The second film is Tim & Eric's The Comedy. Thrice Going on Hiatus After Spring Tour

Bowerbirds Announce The Clearing

North Carolina's Bowerbirds will release a third album, The Clearing, on March 6th through Dead Oceans. The Raleigh-based duo partially recorded the record at Justin Vernon's April Base studio outside Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Stream and download "Tuck The Darkness In" in Music. DRC Music Readies Kinshasa One Two

We previoulsy mentioned that Damon Albarn recently took a group of producers to the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to record an album for Oxfam in seven days. The group's codename is DRC Music and Warp Records will release the album, Kinshasa One Two, on October 3rd. All profits go towards Oxfam's work in the DRC and DRC musicians.
