The Decemberists will make their orchestral debut with a five-city outdoor summer tour featuring the band performing with full symphony orchestras in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Chicago. These pairings feature brand-new orchestral arrangements of The Decemberists songs composed by Sean O’Loughlin.

Voxtrot Debut Full-Length, Summer Tour

As promised, Voxtrot will release their self-titled, debut full-length on May 22nd through Beggars/Playlouder. The 11-song album was recorded with producer Victor Van Vugt (PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Luna). To celebrate, the group is heading out on tour from May 25th through June 16th. Far-Less Recording A Toast To Bad Taste

Far-Less is currently holed up in a Los Angeles studio recording A Toast To Bad Taste, a new full-length due out later this year. Tracking is almost finished and the band promises a more "focused" sound. A May tour with Moros Eros has been announced.

New Pornographers return with Challengers

It's been almost two years since an official release from The New Pornographers but it appears that the band has a new one right on the horizon. Challengers is the tenative title according to Matador Records and is slated for an August 21st release. Head Pornographer Carl Newman told Billboard that this album will be "more epic" than previous releases.

Tom Morello will be performing and signing copies of his Nightwatchman album One Man Revoluition tomorow, April 24th at 6:00pm at Amoeba Music in Hollywood, CA. Later that night, The Nightwatchman will perform at the Hotel Cafe in LA along with Tommy Lee, Ben Harper, Jerry Cantrell, & B-Real with proceeds going to Axis Of Justice social justice programs.

Tim Armstrong Solo For Free - If You can Find It

Tim Armstrong (Operation Ivy, Rancid) has announced plans to give his debut solo album, A Poet's Life, away for free on the internet beginning April 17th. Each Tuesday fans can hunt down new songs and videos on various blogs, sites and social networks. Additionally the album will also be available for sale on May 22nd with a bonus DVD containing 10 new videos.

According to TheTripwire, Damon Albarn has said that Gorillaz will not release another studio album. To put the final bow on the band, the Damon is working on a score for a Gorillaz movie that will be the last official release.
