Cake has announced that two new albums will be released during 2007 through Upbeat Records: Live at the Crystal Palace in the Fall and B-sides and Rarities in the Spring (complete with “scratch and sniff” album art ). Track listing for the B-sides disc and tour dates are below:

Wes Borland is Black Light Burns

Despite all his ups and downs with Limp Bizkit, Wes Borland remains an intriguing guitarist. Recently he announced that he will release an album under the moniker Black Light Burns. The album, Cruel Melody, is due out on June 5th via Ross Robinsons label I Am: Wolfpack. The album features performances by the likes of Danny Lohner and Josh Freese among others.

Two Gallants Admire The Scenery of Farewell

Two Gallants will release a 5-song EP titled The Scenery of Farewell in June. The acoustic, analog effort was recorded in San Francisco, CA during the month of February and will serve as a precursor to a full-length set for September. Of course, the duo will be touring like madmen this summer -- including a long engagement with Les Claypool.

The Rosebuds Night Of The Furies

As we reported, The Rosebuds dropped their third full-length, Night Of The Furies, last week. The "ominous yet enticing" album reportedly should have "fans heading for the dance floor." Shout Out Louds merge with Merge

Swedens Shout Out Louds have signed a deal with Merge Records to release their sophomore album Our Ill Wills on September 11th. If that seems a bit far off you could always import it as the album is released this month in Sweden.
