Tomahawk, now a trio featuring Duane Dennison, Mike Patton and John Stainer, have finished work on their new record, Anonymous. The album is comprised of Native American songs that Dennison researched after his stint with Hank Williams III and will be released June 19th on Ipecac.
During the recording of both Queens of the Stone Age's and Nine Inch Nail's albums, Chris Goss and Jeordie White (aka Twiggy) also recorded Goon Moon's Licker's Last Leg. Guest players on the album include Josh Homme, Zach Hill and Josh Freese and the release is set for May 15th in the US.
We told you that Spoon would be going on tour in support of their forthcoming album and now we've got the dates (see More). We can now also add Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga to the list of rumored album titles (alongside It's Frightening and Trouble Minx). Look for it July 10th.
As if Neon Bible weren't enough in and of itself, The Arcade Fire will release a new 7" via Merge on May 8th. The wax features "Keep the Car Running" on the A side and "Broken Window" on the B.
In continued support of In Case We Die and We Died They Remixed Architecture in Helsinki will be touring the globe throughout May and June. The band has also released a free keepsake for fans to download from their site in the form of a "Do The Whirlwind" remix by the ever elusive Metronomy.
The third annual Hullabaloo Festival will take place May 5th, at The Music Box at the Henry Fonda Theater. Created by Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Keith Barry, Hullabaloo raises funds for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music and helps fund scholarships and free instruments for low-income kids. Performances include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, Charlie Haden, Ditty Bops, and more.
Art Brut are dropping a new record entitled It's a Bit Complicated on June 19th and we have two new tracks off the album over in the Downloads.
The Exies’ latest release, A Modern Way of Living With the Truth, will be available exclusively in digital form at MTV’s new download store, URGE, on April 10th. The physical version of the album will go on sale a month later at retail stores on May 8th.

Sea Wolf is the moniker of multi-instrumentalist Alex Church (former member of the band Irving) and the 'band' will release a 5-song EP entitled, Get To The River Before It Runs Too Low, on May 8th. The man also plans to hit the road supporting labelmates Silversun Pickups later this month and of course those dates are below:
Due to continuing visa and immigration issues, Scotland's The View has regretfully been forced to cancel their May US tour dates. All tickets will be refunded. The View will release their debut album, Hats Off To The Buskers, in the US on on May 8th.
Local favorites, The Nein, have announced that they will be playing April 14th at the Duke University's Nelson Music Room Graduate Composers' Concert. The Nein will be performing a piece by Ben Crawford, a graduate composer at Duke who wrote it for expressly for them to perform. If that's not your bag, check them out on April 27th at Cat's Cradle with Negativland (for the Signal Southeastern Electronic Music Festival).
This Is Me Smiling will embark on a month-long string of dates along the eastern shore throughout April, heading west towards the end of the tour. The group is supporting the re-release of its self-titled album, which was dropped last month.
Birdmonster stopped by 89.3 The Current in Minnesota and performed a brand new song, "Only One," in the station's studio. Watch the performance over at YouTube. The band still have several dates left on their current tour.
Sage Francis has just wrapped work on the first video from his upcoming Epitaph release, Human The Death Dance, due May 8th. Lensed in Los Angeles with director Stoney Sharp, the clip for the single “Got Up This Morning” counts guests Buck 65 and Jolie Holland – who perform on the song – and cameos by Slug from Atmosphere, and Brother Ali. Tim Armstrong will release his long-awaited solo project A Poet's Life, on May 22nd. The CD/DVD package wil include videos for each track and the first single "Hold On" is already receiving heavy rotation on major radio stations across the US.
Tokyo Police Club will be making their US television debut on the Late Show with David Letterman on April 19th. The band is currently on tour and will be performing at Coachella, Sasquatch! and beyond, so be sure to check out all dates below.
