Travis Name The Boy With No Name

We all knew what news of Travis in the studio would eventually bring: new album. Thus, Travis will release The Boy With No Name on May 7th (UK). The effort was once again produced by Nigel Godrich. Unfortunately, a US release date is pending (but we're hoping for May 8th). Listen to "Eyes Wide Open" from the album over at MySpace.

A Promise From CocoRosie

It appears that Benjamin Curtis of The Secret Machines has left the band to pursue his newest project School of Seven Bells full time. Oddly, TSM reports that they are still planning on recording their third album at the beginning of May.

Fulton Lights Release Party

On March 15th, NYC's The Tonic will play host to the Fulton Lights album release party. The self-titled disc will be available from Android Eats Records starting next week, though Catbird Records is pushing the limited edition version until then. Others on board for the show will be Frances and Still (former Dalek DJ).

Dirty On Purpose Spring Dates

Bjork Volta details

Volta is the title to the next Bjork album, due May 8th via Atlantic Records. The official follow-up to Medulla (apparently Drawing Restraint doesn't count) is expected to feature collaborations with the likes of Mark Bell (LFO), Chris Corsano (Six Organs of Admittance), Timbaland, Antony Hegarty (of Antony and the Johnsons) and Brian Chippendale of Lightning Bolt.

Two Ton Boa's Parasiticidic Shows

Two Ton Boa will be returning to a heavy touring schedule to support Parasiticide, which was released this past fall through Kill Rock Stars. The White Stripes Return With Icky Thump

Following their Bonnaroo annoucement, The White Stripes have now revealed details regarding their sixth full-length, titled Icky Thump. Recording and mixing were recently completed in Nashville, TN at Blackbird Studio. The Stripes also posted a short video shot during the recording of "I'm Slowly Turning Into You." An official tracklist is not yet known, but a short list of possible titles was provided on whitestripes.com.

The Fratellis Debut Costello Music
