Brooklyn's Palomar, who recently found themselves signing with the Misra Records/Absolutely Kosher partnership, will release All things, forests on March 20th. They've got a few dates on the road at the moment, including a couple with Mary Timony and a stop at SXSW. You'll find the track "Our Haunt" in the Downloads.

Antibalas' Security, US Dates

Genre benders Antibalas will release Security, its first for the Anti label, on March 6th. The band recorded the album's seven songs with John McIntire of Tortoise, and they'll be doing some shows stateside to promote it.

The former will be touring on last year's Suicide Squeeze release This Harness Can't Ride Anything, and the latter on Broom, a Polyvinyl Records release. Former members of Lovedrug, one dude from Unwed Sailor and some more musicians have come together to create another group paying homage in its name to that burly, hibernating ursine that's been all the rage over the past year or so--they're called Bear Colony, and their debut We Came Here To Die will be released via the Esperanza Plantation label on February 13th.

Go To Ozzfest 2007 For Free

Ozzy Osbourne revealed today the full 25-date run of Ozzfest 2007 won't cost fans a dime. Parterning with Live Nation, the Osbournes plan to rely heavily on sponsors to fund the stint (fans will have to secure tickets through said sponsors). So, a bunch of metal for free, but who knows how much information you'll have to give away. The tour begins July 7th in Los Angeles, CA.

The Spinto Band have a few weeks' worth of shows on the horizon with The Changes and Dios (Malos) in tow. According to the band's website, it looks like they'll be settling down sometime this year to work on writing and recording a new album.

M. Ward Brings New Single, Tour and Lots of Bold Red

M. Ward will be releasing a single called To Go Home on February 20th. The disc centers around the track (which is a Daniel Johnston cover) of the same name from last year's Post-War (Merge Records). The release will have three exclusive tracks which feature collaborations with Neko Case, Howe Gelb, Jim James and Nels Cline. The busy man also has some tour dates on the way with Norah Jones and The Handsome Band.

Akron/Family Not Meek Road Warriors

Never the stagnant type, the Akron/Family will be spending the next two months doing shows in the US before heading to Europe for four weeks. The band released Meek Warrior this past fall on Young God Records, but it'll be surprising if they haven't released something by the end of this year as well.

Massachusetts indie act Winterpills will release its sophomore release The Light Divides on February 27th through the Signature Sounds label. A few tour dates are set for the month following the disc's release, and the band will, of course, be at SXSW too.
