The Little Ones have some dates coming up after a couple of weeks in the UK. Tourmates for the latter will be Kaiser Chiefs and The Walkmen, and if you're on the other side of the Atlantic, you'll be getting them with Tilly and the Wall or The Magic Numbers. The band is currently working on its debut record to be released on Astralwerks, a follow-up to last year's breakout Sing Song EP.

New Disc From The Sea and Cake

May 8th will see the Thrill Jockey label release a new full-length record from The Sea and Cake, the band's first in four years. Entitled Everybody, the album marks the group's seventh in a career spanning well over a decade. The effort was recorded by Brian Paulson (Slint, Wilco).

The Old Soul Deliver Debut LP

Toronto's The Old Soul will release its self-titled debut on April 17th through Friendly Fire Recordings. You'll be able to catch 'em at SXSW in March, and we'll probably get some US tour dates in the coming weeks.

Defiance, Ohio Defy East Coast and Head West

Defiance, Ohio will be touring throughout the month of February not solely in support of last year's release The Great Depression, but because they just really like being on the road. It looks as though the band will be joined by This Bike Is a Pipebomb on a lot of those dates, but with those guys you can never tell. Check the dates and cross your fingers.

The Good & The Bad of Not Touring Much

The first show dates over here for The Good, The Bad & The Queen have been announced but fans will have to jump to it if they want a chance to go. The Damon Albarn-led quartet just released its self-titled debut (though the band claims it still doesn't have its own name, they're just using the name of the album for now), and will make minimal US appearances.

Adem Tours US with Badly Drawn Boy

UK folkster Adem will be doing a handful of NYC dates this week (including one at Carnegie Hall) and then will head back over here in a month, meeting up with Badly Drawn Boy for a lengthy US tour. Right now Adem is pushing his sophomore release Love on Other Planets, released this past August.

Merge Records has officially announced the release of the new record from The Rosebuds. Night of the Furies is due out on April 10th, and prior to that the trio will be opening for Yo La Tengo on a handful of dates before heading out alone.

It slipped our minds last week to inform you that Placebo has teamed up with Virgin Records to re-issue last year's Meds with some extra cuts. A cover of the Kate Bush classic "Running Up That Hill," in addition to a couple more, were missing on the Astralwerks version of the album.

Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hearafter will release Like, Love, Lust & The Open Halls of The Soul on February 6th. The record was produced by Tucker Martine (Decemberists, The Long Winters) and Martin Feveyear (Mark Lanegan, Kings of Leon). The album "is a musically deep piece of work, addressing themes of love, illusion, forgiveness, and the universality of the human experience." Sykes is currently on tour with Sparklehorse. The sisters Casady, CocoRosie, will return on April 10th with The Adventures of Ghosthorse and Stillborn. Touch and Go have categorized some parts of the new full-length as "dreamy" while some as "savage," but "the whole record feels like a black diamond in the snow."
