Hot Snakes will apparently reunite for ATP's Nightmare Before Christmas festival in England, December 9-11th. According to the band, they might do "couple more shows before hand", but any will be scheduled on the East Coast. [swamirecords.com]

The Avett Brothers have been steady rolling out fall tour dates left and right for the past couple of months. As of today, they'll be on the road in the States from September 15th through November 19th. Despite the European release of Blue Songs dropping back in January, the States will just get the new Hercules and Love Affair album tomorrow. According to Billboard, the iTunes version will include two bonus tracks: a Stopmakingme remix of "My House" and a cover of The xx's "Shelter". Ryan Adams is set to return on October 11th with Ashes & Fire on PAX-AM/Capitol. The record is his first proper solo album since 2007's Easy Tiger and was recorded at "Sunset Sound Factory in Hollywood and produced by Glyn Johns (The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan)". Coldplay will return on October 24th with Mylo Xyloto (pronounce "My-lo Zy-letoe"). The record was "produced by Markus Dravs, Daniel Green and Rik Simpson with enoxification and additional composition by Brian Eno." After a three-year "nap", Sparta will hit the studio this fall to record their fourth album. Jim Ward, drummer Tony Hajjar, bassist Matt Miller and guitarist Keeley Davis will round out the lineup. The band will play a show on November 17th at Tricky Falls in El Paso, TX. [www.whatsuppub.com]
