It's been some time since we had anything to report on the Los Angeles Digital Noise Academy supergroup but it appears that the collaboration of artists has unleashed another song on their MySpace page entitled "Piano One." The new track features insight from Charlotte Martin, Sharky Laguana (Creeper Lagoon), Aaron Harris (ISIS), Brad Laner and Ken Andrews. A full album is expected in 2007.

Reportedly Ken Andrews will be releasing a new solo album in the first quarter of 2007 on his Dinosaur Fight Records. No word on the album title or tracklisting but you can preview the song "Write Your Story" right over here.

Murder By Death On Strhess Tour

Murder By Death will team up with Thursday, Fear Before the March of Flames and Heavy Heavy Low Low for a winter tour sponsored by artist Derek Hess's clothing line label Strhess. Sorry West Coast kids, it looks like you won't be getting a visit.

O Pioneers!!! Round Out 2006

Houston's O Pioneers!!! will finish up the year with a handful of of tour dates to celebrate the season, as well as the band's latest record Black Mambas (Team Science). In other news with the group, they'll add split vinyl releases with Fake Problems and Bomb the Music Industry in the near future, as well as a new EP.

Free Covers EP From Cold War Kids

Cold War Kids have posted six cover songs to be downloaded for free on their website. The band takes on the songs of Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, Dr. Dog and more. The band is also still on tour for Robbers & Cowards, and you can find those dates on their Myspace page.

Big Sir Release Pushed Back, Live Shows

Big Sir (the side project of The Mars Volta bassist Juan Alderete de la Pena and vocalist Lisa Papineau, popular for her solo work as well as recording with AIR and M83), whose record Und Die Scheiße Ändert Sich Immer, has now been pushed back to February due to pressing plant troubles, will be doing a few year-end tour dates on the West Coast.

The Little Ones Get In the Holiday Mood

It's been a huge year for The Little Ones; not only did the band pick up a fair amount of critical acclaim from their Sing Song EP, but the disc also led to the group's signing to Astralwerks. Bloc Party Release The Prayer

Bloc Party have released "The Prayer," the first single from the forthcoming A Weekend In The City. You can preview the track with this album player. The first 1,000 folks who pre-order the album from Insound will receive a limited-edition 7" featuring "I Still Remember" and b-side "We Were Lovers." And for those interested, here's the album art. Tour Dates For Phonograph, SXSW

I already mentioned that Phonograph will have its debut out through Arclight Records early next year. Now the NYC alt-country rockers have announced a few touring dates, some taking them to year's end, and the others to support the album on its release. And if you're attending SXSW, there's no excuse to not make at least one of their five sets.

Cold War Kids Fly Cross-Country

Cold War Kids have a considerably difficult adventure ahead: to celebrate the new year and keep spreading the word of Robbers & Cowards, the band will travel from Los Angeles to NYC and back four times in the span of three weeks for eight shows. They'll also appear on The Late Show with David Letterman on December 21.

French duo AIR has announced that they will release their next full length album, entitled Pocket Symphony, on March 6th via Astralwerks. The album features guest appearances by the likes of Jarvis Cocker, Neil Hannon, and was produced by Nigel Godrich.

The Ex Round Out 2006 IN US of A

The Ex will be doing a brief tour before we head into the end of year holidays, the Dutch band's first in the US in the past two years. DJ Rupture and Aloha will be providing tour support at various points. The Ex recently released Moa Anbessa earlier this year on their own Terp Records, but hopefully 2007 will yield a new record on Touch & Go.

Editors Remix EP Available To Download

There's an Editors remix EP available now courtesy of The Fader, who released the four tracks as a download-only set through iTunes. Artists cutting up and piecing the songs back together include Sebastian (who's worked with Annie, The Rapture, and Cut Copy), Ghislain Porier, Prince Language and P Nice.
