New Label From Tony Kanal

Tony Kanal of No Doubt fame has started his own record label. Kingsbury Records is the name, and the blossoming imprint's first release will be from ex-Wailers vocalist Elan. Together is One hits stores next week, but you can check it here for now.

Getting Out of the Angeles

Self continues to tease with new release

It will be some time until there is another proper release from Self what with Matt Mahaffey producing bands, touring with Beck, and collaborating with Jeff Turzo as Wired All Wrong but fear not! Self never leaves a fan in the lurch. Watch the acoustic performance of "I Love to Love Your Love My Love" right here from the forthcoming Live at Spaceland DVD that's been stuck in paperwork hell for over a year.

The Decemberists Announce The Crane Wife

The Decemberists have announced The Crane Wife as the title for their forthcoming Capitol records debut, which is now due October 3rd. The band are currently whittling 22 songs down to album length, with a few tracks running over the 10-minute marker. In other news, the band have also issued Picaresqueties, a 5-song compilation of outtakes and b-sides from the Picaresque recordings, directly to iTunes.

VAST sets regional tour
