No Doubt Re-Release DVD, Begin Recording

No Doubt will re-issue Live In The Tragic Kingdom on DVD packed with additional home movies and previously unreleased performances on June 13th (full details on nodoubt.com). In between having children and starting families, the foursome is hitting a Los Angeles recording studio to flesh out tracks for a new album (possibly due later this year).

Dillinger Escape Plan Commit Plagiarism

Add Dillinger Escape Plan to the growing list of digital-only releases scheduled this summer. On June 13th, be on the lookout for Plagiarism, a 6-song EP consisting of a radio edit of "Unretrofied", a live version of "The Perfect Design" and four covers of songs from Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack and Justin Timberlake.

Spoon Re-Releases, Summer Dates

Spoon provided a few notable morsels to fans last week. First off, they've premiered the video for "The Two Sides of Monsieur Valentine" as website exclusive. Next, Merge Records has agreed to re-release the Spoon debut Telephono and the Soft Effects EP together for the price of one on July 25th. Last but not least, they've announced a few late-summer, West Coast dates with Death Cab For Cutie and Mates of State.

Under the Influence of Giants

Under the Influence of Giants will release their Island Records debut on August 8th, and the single "Mama's Room" can be streamed over in the downloads section. The band has been compared to everyone from Hall & Oates to Talking Heads and Prince, so you'll never be sure exactly what you're getting until you take the trip.

The forthcoming album from PAJO (which we previously thought would be called Insomina Songs) will be titled 1968 and should out sometime this August on Drag City. According to Drag, the material is "surprisingly hilarious." Curiouser and curiouser.

Traindodge Ready Wolves

Traindodge are set to release their new album, Wolves, on August 22nd through Ascetic Records. As an added treat on the same day, the group will also re-release their second full-length On a Lake of Dead Trees with artwork and two extra tracks from a past split EP with Gunfighter (which you can now pre-order at No Karma or grab an MP3 of "Five Forks" in the Downloads). Two Gallants Hit Both Dakotas

Fatboy Slim Asks Why Try Harder?

The Fatboy Slim machine has whirred into gear and posted the video for "That Old Pair Of Jeans" on MySpace. Said song and "Champion Sound" are the two brand new tracks featured on the upcoming greatest hits CD/DVD combo, Why Try Harder. The CD portion (here's the very appropriate artwork) is due June 20th while the DVD should hit stores on July 18th.

Murder By Death Release In Bocca al Lupo

The new album from Murder By Death, In Bocca Al Lupo, is now in stores. Besides heading out to obtain a copy, you may also want to watch the "Brother" video over at YouTube (there's also this ecard, but it's not as exciting). The Bloomington, IN troupe have also announced a long string of dates in support of the release, which show them teaming up with Lucero for several shows towards the end of June.

Suicide Squeeze Page France From Fall

Baltimore's Page France have just inked a deal with Washington State's Suicide Squeeze Records. The band currently plan on re-releasing last year's excellent Hello, Dear Wind (originally released on Fall Records) before laying down some new material for a record to hopefully not be too far off in the future. They've got a few tour dates, too...
