In two related pieces of news, The Smiths will not be following in the steps of all their recently reunited brethren, as guitarist Johnny Marr dispelled those recent rumors. Morrissey, though, still plans to drop Ringleader of the Tormentors via Attack! Records on April 4th.

Wait 5 Months...

I am certain most of you out there got the two Tool DVDs that we told you about. If you did, you probably noticed a little sticker on the wrapper advertising a new Tool album in "Spring 2006". Joe Barsresi is reported to get engineering credit. Remember how a similar sticker appeared on Salival, then out came Lateralus five months later? Also, according to toolshed.down.net, Tool will play the Quart festival (July 4-8) this summer. Summer tour, perhaps? Stay tuned.

Denali Update

Here is an update on al your favorite Denali members, straight from the band: Maura's new band Ambulette is in high gear and has an EP coming out on Astralwerks followed by a full-length on Capitol in the new year. Keeley is now splitting his time between coasts, living in Richmond, and writing with Sparta. Jonathan is managing a new audio production house called Black Iris and has recently rejoined Bats & Mice, and Cam now lives in New York and works for RCA Records. The final chapter in Denali's story can now be finished as they release their long-awaited DVD, Pinnacle on February 7th, 2006 via Lovitt Records. Here's what you're in for:

Jade Tree Anniversary; Lifetime CD

Jade Tree Records will celebrate its 100th release on March 21st, with the deliverance of Somewhere in the Swamps of Jersey. The disc will be a must-have for Lifetime fans, as it collects not only the defunct group's b-sides and rarities, but also the out-of-print debut, Background, in addition to a 52-page booklet on the band.
