Ladytron will return with Gravity the Seducer on September 13th through Nettwerk. The band recorded the "ethereal and melodic" album with producer Barny Barnicott. The synthpop group is playing a handful of US shows this month. [pitchfork.com]

DOOM, Thom Yorke Working on Duets

According to a DOOM (MF Doom) interview with 3D World Magazine, the rapper is currently working with Thom Yorke "on some duets." DOOM added that he and Yorke will "probably end up doing a whole record together." [www.xxlmag.com]

Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder Working on New Albums

According to Jeff Ament, Pearl Jam will hit the studio in April to whittle down 25 demos and "figure out which 12-15 of them float to the top." The band hopes to finish a new album in 2011. In related news, Eddie Vedder is wrapping up a new solo album, titled Uke Songs, which will feature the ukelele (natch). Said album is tentatively due on May 31st. [www.billboard.com]

Diaper Island from Chad VanGaalen in May

Chad VanGaalen will release Diaper Island on May 17th through Sub Pop. According to the label, it's "the closest thing he has done to a rock album." Ahead of the release, VanGaalen posted outtakes from said album as the Your Tan Looks Supernatural EP on Bandcamp. 100% of all proceeds from the EP will benefit the Red Cross Aid Effort in Japan. Arctic Monkeys Ready Suck It and See

We knew that Arctic Monkeys were working on a fourth album in Los Angeles at Sound City Studios with producer James Ford. Said album is titled Suck It and See (a reference to Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange) and is due out on June 7th. The Darkness Reunite for Album, Download Festival

According to the BBC, Justin Hawkins and his brother have reformed The Darkness and will play the 2011 Download festival. The four original members "will record a new album in April and May 2011." Reportedly, Justin and Dan have been working on new tracks "for a couple of years." One Way Ticket to Hell... and Back was released in 2005. [www.bbc.co.uk]
