The upcoming Dangerdoom album that we told you about now has an official site, and a tenative October release date via Epitaph Records. For those of you who forgot, Dangerdoom is DJ Dangermouse and MF Doom collabing on a concept album inspired by Adult Swim.

Tenatively scheduled for a release on the two-year anniversary of his death, Elliott Smith will have a tribute CD released. Acts such as The Decemberists, The Helio Sequence, and The Thermals have committed to submitting tracks to be released by Expunged Records.

Following on the heels of their triumphant debut record, Bloc Party has already gone back in the studio with producer Paul Epworth to record a couple of songs, one of which will be released in October as a new single. Ooooo, we can hardly wait!

Look out for a new and improved re-issue of Sonic Youth's amazing album Goo. The deluxe edition will be a 2-disc set with the album on one disc and tons of outtakes and rarities on the other making it 31 tracks altogether.

Electronic connoisseurs Ladytron have signed to Island/Universal and will be releasing their third full-length album, Witching Hour, on August 29th. The first single is entitled "Sugar" and should be available in just about every viable format already.
