Expect the 10 Year Anniversary DVD to hit stores August 23rd courtesy of Plexifilm. Live clips from the likes of Bright Eyes, The Faint, and Cursive are easy bets too.

I'm sure most of you have heard about the bombings that took place this morning during rush hour in three London tube stations as well as involving one double decker bus. Solid PR releases solid compilation

Solid PR will be releasing Solid PR Presents (Volume 1): A Benefit For The Multiple Sclerosis Society next Tuesday, July 12th as a 2-disc set featuring the bands they work PR for. Acts like The Unicorns, I am The World Trade Center, Hella, An Albatross and many more are donating their songs to help raise money to fight Multiple Sclerosis. Check the tracklisting and realize that both the benefit of your money and the music contained make it worth it.

Q and not U call it a day

Q and not U have announced that after their final show in DC on the 18th they will be disbanding. No hard feelings among band members, they just felt it was time to close that chapter. They are truly Wonderful People.

Sufjan album okay'ed but considered limited

The new Sufjan Stevens album that was apparently delayed due to copyright violation in the usage of Superman on the cover art has been okay'ed to be sold for the time being. New shipments can't be made so get them while you can, and then maybe you can around and sell them for ridiculous amounts of money because they are considered limited edition.

Wires On Fire/Means Red Split

Wires On Fire will soon release a split CD/DVD with Means Red through Buddyhead. The release is currently available at Amoeba Records in Hollywood, CA. Look out for it nationwide as well as online over at the Buddyhead store (we've heard as soon as this week).

Thrice Completes Vheissu

According to their studio journal, Thrice have now completed work on their upcoming album, Vheissu. The album is slated for release sometime in mid-September. As previously reported, the band were hold up in a Bearsville, NY studio recording the follow-up to The Artist In The Ambulance.

Sigur Rós Complete Album

According to the official website, Sigur Rós have completed their new album. The album, which is reportedly sung in mostly Icelandic, contains 11 tracks (including "Gong" and "Mílanó") amounting to around 65 minutes of music. Currently, the album is being mastered in New York and is scheduled for release in September, with an MP3 release of the first single preceding in August. For more information, read this recent interview with an Icelandic newspaper. And, in case you missed it, the band is currently set to tour North America from September through October.

Nightmare Of You Ready Releases

As previously reported, ex-Movielife guitarist Brandon Reilly had formed a new band by the name of Nightmare Of You. Since then, he has secured the services of drummer Sammy Siegler (CIV, Glassjaw) as well as Joe McCaffrey. The group has a 3-song single coming on July 12th through Stolen Transmission. Following that release, Nightmare will release an self-titled full-length on September 13th. You can preview demos of new material (reportedly in the vein of "The Smiths and Echo and the Bunnymen") over at Pure Volume. For more information, check out the band's official website.
