Cursive ready new release of old songs

Saddle Creek will be releasing The Difference Between Houses and Homes on August 9th. The disc is a compilation from Cursive of all of the b-sides from their 7" releases. The disc will also contain two previously unreleased songs, a 24 page booklet with illustrations by Yuriko Yoshino, and a story by Tim Kasher. The final tracklisting has yet to be announced but we'll let you know.

Doves postpone tour dates

In a bit of unfortunate news it seems that Doves have had to postpone a few weeks of their shows to lead lead singer Jimi rest his throat. The Coachella appearance through Chicago will have to be seen at another time.

Audioslave concert might be worth going to after all

If you didn't know, Audioslave are out on tour in support of a new album, Out of Exile, that is to be released May 24th. These facts aside, you may not know that the band has been playing a number of Soundgarden and Rage Against The Machine songs live - including "Spoonman", "Black Hole Sun", "Killing In The Name", and "Testify." We can only hope that the band will eventually phase out all their original material and just continue playing these back-catalog songs.

Coldplay schedules small venue shows

While most of the new dates are in the UK, Coldplay has scheduled a handful of North American dates at some smaller "intimate" venues. If you want to see them you better act quick because they will sell out fast.
