Earlier this week people went a little crazy following some statements by Eddie Vedder at the last Pearl Jam tour stop in Portugal. Vedder mentioned the show would be "[their] last in a long time." The band's publicist followed up, reassuring fans that the "remarks got a bit lost in translation." One thing's for sure, dummer Matt Cameron will be joining Soundgarden for a reunion tour, which limits Pearl Jam's lineup for a while. [blog.thenewstribune.com]

One Day as a Lion Announce Live Dates

Swanlights from Antony and the Johnsons

Antony and the Johnsons will release a new album and 144-page hardcover book, Swanlights, through Secretly Canadian on October 12th. Björk and Antony duet on the track "Flétta." The label reports the record is "basically a super solid collection of singles" and "sounds like Torche," which is always a good thing. Look for the band on tour in July and August. Trent Reznor Creates Score for The Social Network

According a post on nin.com, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails has created the score for the forthcoming David Fincher film, The Social Network. Reznor worked with collaborator Atticus Ross and the soundtrack should be released "a couple of weeks ahead" of the movie's October 1st release date. [www.nin.com]

New Queens of the Stone Age Album in 2011

According to an interview with Rolling Stone, ringleader Joshua Homme will begin work on the next Queens of the Stone Age album later this year. Homme reported that the new album will be "all about wiggling hips" and "further down that strange and lovely path of Era Vulgaris." Desaparecidos Reunites For Omaha Concert for Equality

The recently announced Concert for Equality will take place on July 31st in Omaha and feature Cursive, Bright Eyes and a reunited Desaparecidos and Lullaby For The Working Class, among others.
