Interpol have returned to Matador Records for the release of the forthcoming, self-titled record. The date is now set for September 14th 7th. Furthermore, according to a report from the band, Dave Pajo (Slint, Zwan) and Brandon Curtis (Secret Machines) will join the band on their upcoming tours playing bass and keyboards/vocals respectively.

Sub Pop recently announced The Vaselines are set to release their sophomore album, Sex With An X, on September 14th. Their debut, Dum-Dum, was released in 1989. In an interview with Exclaim, Bryce Dessner of The National confirmed Sufjan Stevens is hard at work on a new album.
