Filter Crafts Anthems for the Damned

According to MTV, Richard Patrick will bring back Filter in 2008 with the album Anthems for the Damned. The record was tracked with producer Josh Abraham and features Wes Borland, Josh Freese and John 5 backing Patrick. Reportedly, it sounds like a "heavy U2 record".

Turning Dragon from Clark

According to Warp Records, Clark will release Turning Dragon, an album that leaves the sound explored on Body Riddle towards a "tougher, rave sound", on January 29th. Serving as a harbinger of great news, the aptly titled Throttle Promoter EP is now available on Bleep.

Sigur Ros are working with producer Flood (U2, Nine Inch Nails, PJ Harvey) on their new record. There are no confirmed reports as to whether Flood will produce the entire record. However, the group will break from their usual digs and rent a house in Reykjavík to record.

According to our friends at The Tripwire, Maximo Park has teamed up with my beer of choice, Newcastle, for a special brew of beer. The band's beer will be called Maximo Brown Ale and, starting December 15th, it will be available at various UK bars. That is the same day the guys will be playing the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle.

The Secret Machines Trudging Onward
