Citing business and label troubles on MySpace, Ambulette, the latest from Maura Davis (Denali), has called it a day. The group hopes to release their latest record for fans if they "ever actually fully get the rights."

Akron/Family's New Record, Tour Dates

The Akron/Family will release Love Is Simple on September 18th via Young God Records. The album follows up last year's Meek Warrior, and is, according to label owner/Swans/Angels of Light brainchild Michael Gira, a mix of "The Beatles, Chicago Art Ensemble, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Grateful Dead, The Hollies, The Butthole Surfers, [and] Led Zeppelin." They'll be touring relentlessly, of course.

Rosewood Thieves Drop Lonesome EP

The Rosewood Thieves will release Lonesome on November 20th. The release will follow the From the Decker House EP (out now), which was recently reissued (due to the demise of the band's previous label, V2 Records) and has bonus material. You can hear "Murder Ballad in G Minor," from the forthcoming release, on Myspace.

Little Name Debut To Make US Splash in October

How to Swim and Live sounds like it would be a '90s twee-pop classic, though it's not being released until October 16th. Little Name is what Lee Barker is calling his project, a one-man show pulling influence from Bacharach and Blur as much as Belle & Sebastian. Former Mineral/The Gloria Record Frontman's New Project

'90s indie luminary Chris Simpson (Mineral, The Gloria Record) will make a triumphant return on November 6th with the release of Becoming All Things, under his new moniker Zookeeper. Belle City Pop is putting out the record, which follows up the recently-released, self-titled EP. He'll be hitting the road in October with Umbrellas and The Good Life.

Saturday Looks Good To Me Jumps to K, Fills Up the Room

Saturday Looks Good to Me will deliver its K Records debut on the 23rd of October in the form of Fill Up the Room. The group left its previous home, Polyvinyl Records, earlier this year on the heels of the Cold Colors EP, opting for a label that's a little more sonically compatible. Of course the band will be touring, and you can find some new tunes on Myspace.

I am obsessed with Current TV, so I thought the new show was worth mentioning.
