De Novo Dahl will release a new six song EP, titled The Shout, on August 18th. The disc will feature 3 new songs plus 3 remixes. The band recently inked a deal with Roadrunner Records and their label debut full-length should drop this winter.

I'm From Barcelona Come to US and Drop Single

I'm From Barcelona are set to release "We're From Barcelona," the second single from their debut album Let Me Introduce My Friends on July 31. Following that, the band (all 29 members) is scheduled to play their first US show at Lollapalooza August 4th and then two additional shows in Brooklyn, New York.

Vegoose Gets Loose

The initial lineup for this years Vegoose Festival has been announced and so far so good. The festival will take place on October 27th and 28th and feature Daft Punk, Rage Against the Machine, The Shins, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, Iggy & the Stooges, Public Enemy Battles, Blonde Redhead, U.N.K.L.E. and more.

Brand New, Thrice and mewithoutYou Tour

Thrice will head out on tour with Brand New and mewithoutYou in the Fall. They've currently finished mastering their 4-disc concept album, but no release date has been sent. However, the group has revealed "Dave Eggers and crew" will be creating the artwork for the release. Looks like someone is a McSweeney's fan. Lastly, Thrice still has yet to announce a new home, after leaving Island in June.

Feist will return to the US in September for an East Coast stint heavily featuring The Reminder. Might as well call a Pennsylvania tour, with 4 of 8 US dates in or around ol' PA.

Mono to release Rarities Album, Tour the States

Mono will release Gone, a collection of rarities and out-of-print tracks, on September 11th through Temporary Residence. Depsite vowing to no tour until their new album is released in 2009, they've jumped on extenstive tour with High On Fire and Panthers from August 29th through October 29th.

The Frames Cross the Pond, Hansard Stars in Once

The Frames are set to hit the States in support of their new album, The Cost. They've scheduled seven dates from July 24th through August 7th across the country. In other news, Glen Hansard plays a leading role in the new John Carney film, Once. The film premiered in the US late last month, so it might still be lurking at your independent theater.

Georgie James Goes Places In September

As we've repored, John Davis formerly of Q and Not U and singer/songwriter Laura Burhenn have formed Georgie James. Their debut full-length, Places, will be released on September 25th through Saddle Creek. Preview some songs on Myspace. The band have a handful of shows coming up in August.

Rogue Wave Is Asleep At Heaven's Gate

Two Gallants Announce Fall Tour, Third Record

With a new EP in stores, Two Gallants have turned their sights to a new full-length. Their third, self-titled record will hit stores on September 25th through Saddle Creek. More details will most likely emerge soon, but the deux Gallants will be on tour from August 2nd through October 18th (including some dates with Against Me!).

Mobius Band Standing at the Gates of Heaven

Mobius Band have completed their second full-length, dubbed it Heaven and scheduled a Fall release. This time around the group produced the record themselves over a total of 18 months. The band are scheduling a full tour to be announced soon. A couple tracks from Heaven will most likely hit the webosphere soon.
