Travis have announced a proper US tour in support of their new album, The Boy With No Name. The 16-date tour starts in Philadelphia, PA July 11th and ends in Mexico City on August 2nd (OK, so it's not all in the US).

Nina Gordon Posts Unreleased Tracks

Breaking a fairly long silence, Nina Gordon recently made available an EP of sorts (really just a bunch of songs) via her site's message board. The tracks were culled from songs meant for the shelved Even The Sunbeams and demos from Bleeding Heart Graffiti. It's suspected a new album is in the works as Gordon mentioned she is "starting to think about music again" on her MySpace blog.

Tokyo Police Club compliment your english

What looked to be an international only release by Tokyo Police Club for their upcoming "Your English Is Good" 7" via Memphis Industries will now be released domestically by up-and-comer Mean Beard Recordings on July 17th. The 7" features "Swedes in Stockholm" as the b-side and should be available via iTunes, eMusic and your local retailer. Best Buy, Target and iTunes will get exclusive bonus tracks, while everyone else gets the standard edition. Has catering to the big box retailer gone too far?

Arcade Fire Tour Dates Leak Out

The first few dates of the next leg of the Arcade Fire North American tour have been announced. On September 17th, the Fire will be at Red Rocks in Denver, CO and then September 20th at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, CA. LCD Soundsystem will support on all tour dates. Also, don't forget the Austin City Limits Festival on Septemeber 15th.

Jonah Matranga Releases New Album

Jonah Matranga is set to release what is being called his "first proper solo album" on September 18th. The man has released quite a bit of solo music under the monikers Onelinedrawing, New End Original, and even his own name. Unlike those releases, this one... well, we don't really know how it's different. Fall tours of the UK, Europe and the US are being booked as you read this.

Queens of the Stone Age Join Rage and Henry Rollins

Queens of the Stone Age have snagged the opening slot for the Rage Against the Machine show at Alpine Valley in Troy, WI on August 24th. The band will also be the featured artist on the Henry Rollins Show this Friday at 11pm where they will perform "Misfit Love" from Era Vulgaris.
