Portishead To Curate ATP, Perform New Songs

Rumors around a new album from Portishead have been circulating for over two years. Finally, people will be able hear the new songs at this year's All Tomorrow's Parties, December 7-9th at Butlins Holiday Camp at Minehead. Portishead will be curating the event, titled "The Nightmare Before Christmas," and the line-up, which includes Aphex Twin, Julian Cope, Sparklehorse and Earth, can be found at atpfestival.com.

Sunset Rubdown will follow up Shut Up I Am Dreaming with a new full-length, Random Spirit Lover, in October through Jagjaguwar. A 3-4 week tour is being scheduled in support for October. Album details are still coming in, but they've released a tentative tracklist.

That mouthful of a title is mean to indicate that this is the first in the "Broken Social Scene Presents" series. This fall Drew and Brendan Canning along with new members will commence the "Broken Social Scene Performs" touring series.

Transformers soundtrack tracklisting revealed

As if the giant Michael Bay style production wasn't enough, the soundtrack for the forthcoming Transformers movie has been announced. The disc features tracks from Smashing Pumpkins, Armor for Sleep, Linkin Park and a new take on the theme song courtesy of Mutemath. Let's hope they kept the vocoder.
