The Dillinger Escape Plan have completed a new full-length by the name of Ire Works. During the time since Miss Machine, drummer Chris Pennie has left the band and been replaced by Gil Sharone. Some of the goings-on are chronicled over on YouTube through webisodes and trailers.
Rumors around a new album from Portishead have been circulating for over two years. Finally, people will be able hear the new songs at this year's All Tomorrow's Parties, December 7-9th at Butlins Holiday Camp at Minehead. Portishead will be curating the event, titled "The Nightmare Before Christmas," and the line-up, which includes Aphex Twin, Julian Cope, Sparklehorse and Earth, can be found at atpfestival.com.
Jimmy Eat World have announced a jaunt across the US for July and August, in further support of Futures. They then head back to Europe for a handful of summer festivals.
Sunset Rubdown will follow up Shut Up I Am Dreaming with a new full-length, Random Spirit Lover, in October through Jagjaguwar. A 3-4 week tour is being scheduled in support for October. Album details are still coming in, but they've released a tentative tracklist.
Pearl Jam will release Live at the Gorge 05/06, a 7-CD live set, on June 26th. The set is comprised of seventy-six individual songs played over the course of three nights and spans the band's 17-year career.
Ben Lee will release his sixth solo recording, Ripe, September 4th on New West Records. The album features a bevy of guests (some questionable) that include Mandy Moore, Benji Madden, Benmont Tench, Rachael Yamagata, Rooney, Sara Watkins and Charlotte Martin.
Muse have announced some later-summer, headlining dates in further support of Black Holes & Revelations. In related news, they've also posted all the Black Holes videos to their YouTube channel.
Robbers On High Street will release their new album, Grand Animals, on July 24th before hitting the road with The Redwalls.
On September 18th Arts & Crafts will release, Spirit If, from Broken Social Scene member Kevin Drew. That mouthful of a title is mean to indicate that this is the first in the "Broken Social Scene Presents" series. This fall Drew and Brendan Canning along with new members will commence the "Broken Social Scene Performs" touring series.
Against Me! will release their new album, New Wave, on July 10th. The album was produced by Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins) and is sure to bring it.
On June 5th, Epic will release a new record from The Clash entitled The Singles. This single disc brings together all of the band's US and UK A-sides and replaces the 1999 The Singles compilation which is now out of print.
Division Day has inked a deal with Eenie Meenie Records who have announced the "official" release of the band’s debut album, with two new tracks and all new artwork, in the Fall. Meanwhile the band have a couple of shows coming up.
Juliette and the Licks have been confirmed to open for Chris Cornell on his national tour, beginning July 10 in San Francisco. The band's new album, Four on the Floor will be released July 24 on The Militia Group. Dates below:

As if the giant Michael Bay style production wasn't enough, the soundtrack for the forthcoming Transformers movie has been announced. The disc features tracks from Smashing Pumpkins, Armor for Sleep, Linkin Park and a new take on the theme song courtesy of Mutemath. Let's hope they kept the vocoder.
The next disc from The New Pornographers that we told you about is still slated for an August 21st release via Matador but now you can preview the first track from the Challengers disc, "My Right Versus Yours," over on their Myspace page.
It's been a couple years since we mentioned The Rentals new album, and even though it won't see the light of day until 2008, the band will be releasing The Last Little Life EP on August 14th. The band will also head out on a headlining tour of the US this summer.
