Matmos to Appear at Tokion Creativity Now

In addition to their current tour, Matmos will speak at a panel during the 3rd Annual Tokion Magazine 'Creativity Now' conference on October 14th. The panel, "Lost and Found," addresses appropriating found objects into art, which the Matmos sound is fairly dependent on. Should be interesting, to say the least.

The two-disc album pulls its tracks from various sectors of Garcia's musical history, but skirts his Grateful Dead past in favor of his lesser-known solo work. Dredg Live At The Fillmore

While there's still no word on the b-sides disc, Dredg is indeed planning to release their May 11th, 2006 concert at the The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA as a live album on November 7th. The aptly titled Live At The Fillmore will feature 19 songs from the show. Take a look at the show poster, which may end up being the album art.

Walter Schreifels on The Interface

Walter Schreifels recently popped up on The Interface from AOL and played a bunch of songs from his massive repertoire: Walking Concert, Rival Schools, Quicksand, Gorillia Biscuits and some solo stuff. The Stills Fall, Headlining Dates

The Stills are set to head out their own Fall headlining tour in support of their new album, Without Feathers. Having just completed a West Coast run, the dates center mostly around the East Coast, from the end of November through December 14th. Decibully Delve Into Road Duties

Fresh off a tour with labelmates Headlights, Decibully is revved up for another East Coast campaign. Ths time, the band has prepared a self-released tour-exclusive EP, with unreleased tracks, demos, etc. At this point in time, the band has plans to enter the studio near the end of the year to record the follow-up to 2005's Sing Out America!

Cold War Kids aren't Robbers or Cowards

Cold War Kids will release their debut full-length Robbers & Cowards on October 10th. The Long Beach, CA based quartet have been garnering much acclaim during the lead-up to said release (SXSW helped, a lot). So much acclaim, in fact, that they're heading out their own headlining tour, starting tonight in Sacrmento, CA and ending November, 22nd in Paris, France. Calexico Announce Year-End Dates

Still pushing Garden Ruin, Calexico will be doing some December dates to wrap up the year, starting with one in the band's hometown of Tuscon. Don't get your hopes up, there isn't a tour, so consider yourself lucky if you're around these cities. Annuals will opening some of the shows, while the others will see Joey Burns and the guys opening for Los Lobos.

Pretty in Pink, and Blue is Nice, Too

The wholly independent release is a lesson in rhythm and pop, drawing from the melodious, funky punk of early XTC and Talking Heads, and the smooth new wave pop of Squeeze and The English Beat.

The Information Now Readily Available

The Information from Beck is in stores as of today. To celebrate the release, Beck.com is streaming videos for two non-album tracks, "Inside Out" and "This Girl That I Know." As you may remember, the release is backed with a DVD of videos for each song. A sticker sheet and a blank canvas are also included, so you can design your own album cover.

Voxtrot Ready Your Biggest Fan

To kickoff their new relationship with Playlouder, Voxtrot will release three new songs as the "extended single" Your Biggest Fan on November 7th. They're set to hit the studio in November/December to record a new full-length, with a full release sometime in 2007. The group is also heading out on a short run of major cities at the end of this month.
