Placebo have announced a US tour running from October 17th through November 8th, with most dates supporting She Wants Revenge. The tour will mark the band's first US apperance in 3 years and further promote their new album, Meds.

Screw Copperfield, Mos Def Readies Tru3 Magic

Mos Def returns with a new studio album, Tru3 Magic, on September 19th. The set features production from the likes of Kanye West and Pharrell. The tracklist will include "There Is a Way", "The Undeniable" and "Boogie Man," which you can currently preview in the Downloads.

My Morning Okonokos

My Morning Jacket is about to release Okonokos, a 2-disc live recording and concert film capturing the band in all their glory. The live concert was created with the aid of the lighting designer Marc Brickman (well-known for his work with Pink Floyd), and filmed by director Sam Erickson. This concert film will be screened in select cities this Fall before being released on DVD.

Jet has announced a series of North American concert dates heralding the upcoming release of their second album, Shine On. The debut album from The Panic Channel, a new rock band featuring Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins, hit stores two days ago. Why care? Well, like me, you might still hold on to the notion that Navarro and Perkins could resurrect some old Jane's magic and not simply churn out modern-rock FM drivel. Sadly, no dice, but don't just take my word for it.

Bloc Party Preview Second Album

After a handful of European festival dates, Bloc Party will finalize and put any finishing touches on the follow-up to Silent Alarm. Late last month, Kele Okereke submitted an unconfirmed list of tracks to fansite blocparty.net. Not all tracks will appear on the album, but those left off will surely end up on various singles as b-sides. The NME was also recently allowed to preview the first four tracks and described the new material as "dark, bigger and quite abrasive."

Beck Transmits The Information

The forthcoming Beck album with the reported "hip-hop flavor" and production by Nigel Godrich is now titled The Information. This past weekend, Beck.com posted the tracklist for the album as well as the songs "Nausea" and "Motorcade" in the site jukebox. The release seems to be set at October 3rd, for the time being, and should be backed with DVD of videos for each album track.

Clinic Visitations Delayed

Visitations, the forthcoming follow-up to Winchester Cathedral from Clinic, will now be released on October 17th through Domino. The first single, "Harvest (Within You)," will be released on October 3rd and a video for the song will be posted on clinicvoot.org soon. The Features find some Contrast

Despite being dropped from Universal Records for refusing to record a Beatles cover for a bank commercial The Features are still going strong. The band has made their new Contrast EP available for pre-order on their site and put up new tracks on their myspace. The disc was produced and recorded by Jacquire King (Kings of Leon) and the combo fits them just right.

Saturday Night Wrist details

The new album from the Deftones, still titled Saturday Night Wrist, is slated for an October 31st release and a tracklisting has been revealed. The 12-track outing was produced by Bob Ezrin and the disc features guest appearances by Serj Tankian (System of a Down) and Annie Hardy (Giant Drag).
