Grandaddy Fambly Cat may be final release

We aren't typically all too trust worthy of news from NME but they are reporting that with the release of Just Like The Fambly Cat Grandaddy will be calling it a day. We'll chalk it up to rumor until we hear someone on the official site but if some of the songs from Excerpts From The Diary of Todzilla are to be taken literally, this may be the end.

Raconteurs gearing up

It's been over six months since we had anything to say about The Raconteurs, aka the collaborative songwriting project between Brendan Benson and Jack White, but it seems that they have a MySpace page now and that's a step in the right direction. The band will release a limited edition 7" in February that you can expect to eventually show up on eBay for a ton of money.

Autolux b-side

Recently Autolux contributed the song "Tears For An Inhaler" to the Sonic Scenery art installation at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. The installation features original music from numerous bands that coincides with particular rooms within the museum. You can read more about it here or download the entire soundtrack from iTunes.

Toadies Back For One Show

It's been over two years since we had some Toadies news, but the band is back...sorta - a one-off Toadies Concert was announced yesterday. The show is March 11, at The Dallas Observers Greenville Avenue St Patricks Day Parade, which takes place from 1-6pm outdoors at the intersection of Greenville and Yale. Toadies headline the event at 4pm. The line-up for this show is Todd Vaden Lewis, Rez, Clark Vogeler and Mark Hughes (who played the last few Toadies shows). Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10AM via Frontgate Tickets. The band has stated that this is a one off Toadies show.

The 2-disc DVD set features 21 videos that span from 1991-2005 and a comprehensive audio commentary by Tori on each video. The DVD features digitally re-mastered 5.1 audio and behind the scenes footage as well.
