Damn you DVD Region Codes - Muse DVD on the way

Maybe it will be region-free, but the forthcoming Muse DVD, Absolution Tour, is only set for release in the UK on December 12th. The DVD culls footage from the bands Absolution Tour (natch), including their appearance at the Glastonbury Festival.

Hypnotize On The Leak

Hypnotize, the second half of the strategically split double-album from System of a Down, will be released on November 22nd. However, you can preview the entire album over at The Leak on MTV.com until next Tuesday. In related news, SOAD will perform at Webster Hall in NYC on November 22nd as part of MTV's $2Bill Concert Series. The performance should air on MTV2 at a later date.

The National obligatory update

It's been awhile since we've heard about anything The National has been up to. They released Alligator this year and now they've released a single for "Lit Up" with the b-side "You've Done It Again Virginia." The best part of this news is that "Lit Up" is actually a remixed version of the album track, so it's sort of like you're getting two new tracks instead of just one.

Deep down, you know you love Harry Potter

Aside from hardcore Madeye Moody fans, indie rock fans should take note of three original songs performed under the moniker The Wyrd Sisters, consisting of Jarvis Cocker, Johnny Greenwood, Phil Selway, Steve Claydon, Steve Mackey, and Jason Buckle (ever heard of Pulp or Radiohead?).
