If you fancy yourself a t-shirt designer and enjoy the aural sounds of Early Man you may want to throw something together and email it to theearlyman@aol.com. The band is looking for shirt ideas and may just print up your design for sale on the road. Their album Closing In is in stores now.
It seems like there is always some release that is rumored forever but somehow fails to deliver. The Flaming Lips are the next in line for this destiny as they have been saying that their film Christmas On Mars would be released for years now. Finally, the band is reporting that shooting is done, they are currently editing, and are eyeing a release this winter. Somehow I'm still doubtful.
An Albatross will be recording a new full-length record for release on Ace Fu in early 2006. We'll post more about it when we find out more about it.

In a recent article in the Los Angeles City Beat it was reported that Sonic Youth will begin recording their final album for Geffen records entitled Sonic Life. No tracklisting has been released yet, nor is there even a halfway tenative release date. The most suprising portion of the article is that it states that Jim O'Rourke will not be joining the group on the recording and is "moving on."
Recently Blur told Billboard that they were going to record a new album - albeit without guitarist Graham Coxon (a damn shame!) - and that it was going to be a basic record. Frontman Damon Albarn emphasizes that if he's going to be the guitarist, "it has to be really stupid and basic punk rock." I'd take that with a mildly large grain of salt.
