Pixies contemplate new studio album

According to this article it seems that The Pixies are, at the very least, contemplating returning to the studio to see what becomes of their new demos. No concrete plans are in place yet but Frank Black has let it be known that he doesn't want to mess up the Pixies legacy by putting out a mediocre record. That's calming to some degree.

Spoon is about to release an onslaught of b-sides. There will be two singles for their new single "Sister Jack" with both discs featuring assorted b-sides. And if that wasn't enough the band has announced that they'll be releasing "My First Time Volume 3" to iTunes sooner rather than later.

ATP festival with multiple curators

What happens when you have another iteration of All Tomorrows Party for a week? You get a weeks worth of curators. Starting May 12-14 and then May 19-21 in the UK, the festival will be curated by the likes of Sleater-Kinney, The Shins, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Mudhoney. More details as they emerge.

If you're an Aphex Twin fan and you're wondering when there will be a new release you can start to rejoice.. sort of. Warp Records will release the Hangable Autobulb EP on CD this October 31st (in the UK). The reissue is a celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the music's original release on very limited edition vinyl.
