The new disc from The Strokes is rumored to be entitled Juicebox but we'll take that with a grain of salt. The UK release date is set for January 23rd and you can bet the US release won't be far behind. The band manager has said the new album's production is "drastically different" but still "sounds like The Strokes".

We're posting this more for the humor value than anything else but it seems that Slipknot is suing Burger King for their latest slew of commercials featuring fake masked rockers Coq Roq peddling the fast food franchises latest invention, Chicken Fries. Slipknot claims BK is trying to influence their fans by using a band with their likeness. Hey, there's no such thing as bad press, right?

As expected, the upcoming Deftones release B-Sides and Rarities is now pushed back to an October 4th release and will serve to celebrate the band's 10-year anniversary. The 14-song "collection of unique b-sides, covers, and remixes" will be accompanied by a DVD compiling all of the Deftones music videos along with rare behind-the-scenes footage. Black Dice will release their new album, Broken Ear Record, on September 6th through DFA/Astralwerks. The album consists of 7 new songs recorded in Byron Bay, Australia and mixed in Brooklyn, NY. Following the full-length, a double 12" LP and enhanced CD of the single "Smiling Off" will be released in October. Additional details can be found at the Astralwerks website. The duo have also announced an extensive North American tour in support of the release.
