The Bronx recently made it known they are to play Black Flag in the upcoming Darby Crash and The Germs biopic, What We Do Is Secret. The guys recently recorded the Black Flag song "Police Story" for the movie soundtrack with former Germ Pat Smear helming the boards. In related news, The Bronx also reported they've finished writing and have begun recording 12 songs for a new album. Sadly, no official date or timeframe has been set as of yet. In the near future, however, there will apparently be a "slew of 7-inches" from Bronx imprint White Drugs to tide us over. More detailed news on the movie and upcoming album can be found on the band's official website.

The upcoming Broken Social Scene album we're all awaiting for on October 4th has had a bit of a name change. Windsurfing Nation is out and the album will just be self-titled. Part of me hopes this is a subtle jab at Franz Ferdinands inability to stick with an album title but I know it's not.
