If you manage to live in a major metropolitan area you are probably inundated with tour dates. Don't let these new Royksopp dates get you down.. just appreciate them coming to North America in support of The Understanding.

Catbirdseat gives the heads up on a new Rogue Wave mp3 being hosted at Sub Pop. You can download "10:1" right here. The track is a nice teaser for the forthcoming Descended Like Vultures disc to be released on October 25th. You'll be able to get the preview EP, 10:1, on August 23rd featuring 3 exclusive new songs.

Franz Ferdinand cop out on album title

The forthcoming Franz Ferdinand album was supposed to be entitled Franz Ferdinand and feature the same cover artwork as their debut album but with a different color scheme. Turns out the boys couldn't commit and now they are calling the album You Could Have it So Much Better... With Franz Ferdinand and will feature new artwork. Weak! Check out the tour dates and yell at them for not going through with the original plan...

The Exit will re-release their album Home For an Island on October 11th via a major label. The band reports that they are going to make the album have more of a live feel and for those of you that already own the album a few new songs will be tacked on.

The only good part about a band touring Europe extensively is that they usually come back to North America and do a good bit of touring here. Let's hope that these new Wintersleep dates make a bunch of Europeans really happy and get the band to actually play a crapload of dates here.

Strokes get release date, no other details

Oneida form Brah Records

Sometimes you just wish that a band would form an imprint and release records of their favorite bands or similar sounding bands. Oneida shares this wish and have formed Brah Records as an imprint of JagJaguwar Records. You can read more about this label here and the first split 7" they will be releasing featuring Oneida and Plastic Crimewave Sound.
