Squirrel Nut Zippers Return with Lost At Sea

Squirrel Nut Zippers will return with their first album in nine years, Lost At Sea, on October 27th. Albeit, the album consists of a live show recorded at Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY and only contains their "greatest hits and strongest material." Thom Yorke's New Band

Today on Dead Air Space, Thom Yorke revealed he's been "getting a band together for fun to play [The Eraser] stuff live and the new songs." The group includes drummer Joey Waronker, Mauro Refosco, Flea and producer Nigel Godrich. Two shows with Lucky Dragons are scheduled for October 4th and 5th at Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Cave In Announce East Coast Dates

Chris Taylor Creates Terrible Records

OK Go Ready Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky

OK Go will return with a "13-track opus" titled Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky on January 12th, 2010 through Capitol Records. Frontman Damian Kulash revealed there's "a lot of Purple Rain on this record." The album, culled from over a hundred songs, was produced by David Fridmann. [www.okgo.net]

Slash Jams with Dave Grohl

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists Join Matador

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists have inked a deal with Matador Records and will tentatively release a new album in early 2010. According to the label, said album was recorded "throughout 2009 at Brooklyn's Seaside Lounge." Stream I And Love And You on NPR

The new album from The Avett Brothers, I And Love And You, is now streaming exclusively on NPR. To celebrate this coming Tuesday's release, the band will play the title track on The Late Show with David Letterman on September 28th. Then, the group will hit the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on October 6th for "Laundry Room." [www.npr.org]
